If you get one of these all you have to do is split the logs down to saw dust.

I'm bettin the folks in KC are not havin a good time right about now . . .

" The snow fell at rates as high as 3 inches per hour, according to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill, Mo. The rapid accumulation stranded many motorists, as getting around wrecks and stalled vehicles was often impossible.

Kansas City International Airport measured 9.2 inches of snow officially — a record for Feb. 21. The previous record was 5.1 inches.

It was the fifth-largest single-day snowfall in February and the most for the month since Feb. 25, 1993, when 11.1 inches fell.

Snowfall amounts were relatively consistent in and around Kansas City. About 9.5 inches was reported in Fairway, Kan. Kansas City, Kan., had 11 inches. Lawrence had 10.6 inches. Parkville received had 10.5.

That's the best idea yet. Today there is a whole new class of driver that don't have a clue what to do in snow. I saw a pic of I-29 heading to the airport and knew the imbeciles were on the road.

Of course it doesn't help when the myth of all season tires and 4-wheel drive give a false sense of security.

Stay Warm!

Your winter idiots have nothing on Texas' winter idiots. We only get snow once or twice a year, some areas like Austin only get it every 4-5 YEARS. They don't know what snow is or what it does to cars, and since its so infrequent the Darwin Effect can't thin the herd fast enough here.

hey, I recognize that Jeep

Those accumulation totals don't seem that daunting to me. Seems like we had storms that big just two winters ago. Maybe it's just the timing that makes them noteworthy?

Optimists think the glass is half full.
Pessimists think the glass is half empty.
Engineers realize it's twice as big as it needs to be.

I heard this morning that the national guard had to come rescue people in Lubok Texas due to the three and a half inches of snow they got yesterday. Glad to see you Texans still don't need the government for anything. Just bustin ya.

And I live here. Got another 6" last night and out they come. Why cant they at least manage to drive on one lane. They all want to take their half of the road out of the middle.

I wish I was.

Interstate 27 reopened between Amarillo and Lubbock, about 120 miles to the south, but the Texas National Guard was still working to clear much of Interstate 40 from the Oklahoma border to the New Mexico state line.

Maybe those guys in Texas should just shoot the snow away.

I live 110 mile north of Lubbock & the national guard was called out here but we got 19" & had peak wind of > 60mph yesterday. I-40 was closed across the Panhandle. Today the sun is out & shining. Soon my back yard will be a sea of mud
