64 Corvette For sale?
I found this 64 Corvette for sale. The frame is rusted badly. The guy has not returned my call yet.. I think it’s a 327? 4 Speed, It does run and drive.. But it needs a complete restoration, I’m sure… What’s it worth???

Do you have any shots showing the rust?
Looks like a 250HP or 300HP car, given the redline on the tach. It was factory equipped with A/C and power windows.
Not a bad project car - but if I had it, it would be designed from the beginning as a restomod.

And you can find a nicely completed C2 restomod for $35k that will need no work at all. The $35k asking price on this car, regardless of what it looks like is ridiculous assuming it does have rust and is in need of significant restoration.

Yeah - but I wouldn't want one that someone else built. If I had a car to take the restomod route, then I'd do as much of it myself as I could.
I also wasn't commenting on the price - I was really trying to point out that the car wasn't the best candidate for a full restoration project, since it was equipped with the base engine and needs significant work.

Oh, I agree. I was just sayin' if you're gonna restomod it yourself, you don't want to pay finished product price. I'm no expert, but I have searched for the right car to restore for a long time, and I've seen a lot of prices. To me, this car should not go for over $20k, and that's if it's very complete. It's gonna cost another $20k+ to do a minimalist restoration on.
