I think she did as she was told,She had the horse all day to run with the big dogs. She lacked the knowledge to know when and where to move that was up to her spotter and crew chief, they guessed wrong.

... I have to agree ...
Quote:
She spent most of the day riding on the high line and
never did pull to the bottom. As a result, she doesn't think she
got a lot of drafting practice but is content having finished the
race.
"We had a real steady day," Patrick said. "We got off to a nice
start. I wish I had led at the start and thought I was but it was
nice to lead later on - two lead laps. It was a real steady and
smart day, running half-throttle. I just didn't think it was very
wise to drop down, I would have just fallen to the back."
|
...you can even see the frustration in her interview, even
the wording of this is not what I associate with a driver, just
the last statement sums it up.....
....you really believe they were going to let her win or stay
in the top 5, dam pass the pipe around......

I am with you 100%....
After the race Danica complained that she just couldn't get anybody to run with her and make a move.....I think she just didn't offer the right deal....cause she's got more to trade than anybody else on that track....she just doesn't offer it.

WOW! That was one boring race. Nascar has to do something with this new car. Daytona is the big race to start the season and it went bust.

NASCAR has sucked since every maker went to the same design that with out decals you never know which was a ford, dodge, or chevy.

Daytona is a restrictor plate race. The Chevy, Ford and Yoyo's engines are matched for air/fuel. Nascar's bright idea to keep the cars closer together, reduce speed and create a greater opportunity for havoc for the fans. This is how the entire 42 car field can pass the start/finish line within 2 seconds.

.........................just wait till the C7Z debuts in the 2014ALMS GT series. Except for the BMW and Porsche, you won't be able to tell the difference between Aston (if they return), Jaguar, Viper, F12 Ferrari and C7Z without specific paint....except for the Vettes ass end.

Hopefully that's what the rest of the GT field will be seeing.
