Its covered by tape. In some other pics with the hood open you can see the clear chunk.

Must be awesome to have the corvette racing crew chief tell you about the ZR1 about to make some laps. I think after picking myself up from my knees buckling, i would have sprinted to the scene in disbelief. Great pics, and thank you for sharing them.

are we absolutey sure this is THE car, and not some variation of it?
my point is would GM really put the actual final ZR-1 in the exact form it will be when it's available to buy out on a public track like that where they know people are going to photo/video it when it's still not been oficially unveiled?
at the very least, it's a great indication of what the car will be....and it's much more than we've seen to this point, but I'm not going to flip over any photos until it has truly been officially unveiled.

My thoughts exactly. In the other post on this, someone proposed that this was in order to make a video for the unveiling. They could've done the video at the proving grounds on their new mini-nurburgring and without all the gift-wrapping. Why would they do this if it's the real thing?

Hypocrite-- 1. a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue
2. someone who owns a Corvette and lectures other Corvette owners on speeding |

Yes that's it. The whole thing was a controlled PR event by GM. They wanted everyone to see it.
