This is one of the best videos I have seen on a how to. The guy who bought my Vette I told him he would have to fix one of the motors and he said it would be better to buy a motor, I said to check out your video.

Any way of getting this in typed form and where you found the parts?

Great video.

Nicely done.
Thanks for the video, easy to follow and explained well.

I get my parts from Rodney Dickman
http://rodneydickman.com

I have purchased Fiero parts from him for years. I see he has expanded his inventory to include the Vette gears and motors.

He sells the small bushings for $10 and the rebuild kit with aluminum gear for $40

Personally I hate "pop-up" lights and replaced them with something else on my Fiero. The Vette will get something done to it at some point but its always good to have a plan B when something goes wrong.

Question

First of all thanks DOGFISH246!!!! Great video and helped me alot. However there are some slight changes between your 94 and my 85 (as you noted at the beginning of the video). Anyways I have finally gotten the motor assembley separated so I have access to the gears. The larger white one is not my problem, it is the smaller black one that has ground down, therefore the teeth aren't connnecting.

Now the point I am stuck at is I cannot get the smaller black gear to come out off of the pin. Does anyone know how to get me past this point? Do I have to take the actual headlight out to get at something from behind the pin/small black gear to release it. I have attached a photo with my finger pointing at the smaller black gear locked on the pin. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
