C6 window problem.

Hi fellows has there been any issues with windows not returning up when doors close? Windows will vent down when doors are open but not up when doors close. Any help with this issue?

While sitting in your car, open and close your door, the window stops about 2 inches short of the top, raise the window all the way, using your button, once it's at the correct position, lock the setting in place using the memory setting button. This should work. It seems to happen when I have had a battery go dead. Hope this helps.

it is in your owners manual on indexing windows, I believe its a small section and easy to miss but it does address this issue.

Ive read that to relearn the window indexing you get in the car start the Aux power.roll the window down and hold the position(button) for five to ten seconds and then roll the window up and hold the position for five to ten seconds .This is supposed to relearn the indexing...Im pretty sure thats how its done Vettes Rule!!!

I just had to do it this weekend in my 09 coupe. The manual said to open and close the door (with power on), raise window and hold switch for 3 seconds, lower, then raise again and hold switch 3 more seconds. It is then reset.

Thumbs up! Window Indexing

Thanks. I just replaced my first battery and had an issue on my 2008 with the window not closing. The indexing worked great.

Hi,

You're battery could be at the end of it's life or your battery connector is corroded.

My driver window was having problems going down/then up. I re indexed about every 3rd time I opened door. Then I saw that there is a bolt in the window channel that chipped the top on my window... What the Hell ??
