Other than the turns lock to lock, is there any difference between the std and sport rack? Am I correct in thinking I can replace a standard steering rack with the sport version?

Yup. It's a pretty popular upgrade when it comes time to replace a standard rack.

And don't worry about "rebuilt." I understand that they are all "rebuilt" at this time in the game. Enjoy the quicker steering!

:agree: A rebuilt will last longer than a virgin rack will. They put bushing sleeves in so the aluminum case will no longer wear. Grooves in the aluminum case is the cause of most leaks and "gritty" feel in the steering. God only knows what engineer thought a steel piston riding on aluminum was a good idea .
