What's up everyone? I'm John. I'm a FF/EMT down in South FL. I'm new to the forums here. I'm actually in the process of purchasing my first corvette. It's a 2001 Z06.
Hope to find some good info on here along with some ideas for some aftermarket performance.
Just so that you know, this is the first place that you want to check when something goes wrong with your car. The stealership is the LAST place you want to go. There are common failures that you will experience that most of us with C5's have already dealt with. Don't get screwed in the wazoo! The first thing you need to learn how to do is pull your codes. You don't need a scan tool to do this. That is the ultimate starting point when trouble-shooting issues with your car.
Absolutely. That is the exact reason I signed up for the forum. This is my first Corvette. I've been a Mustang and Grand National guy for many years. I decided to come to the dark side.

Sorry Mickey,
I tried speaking with someone from there a few months back and they were arrogant and blew me off... Totally rubbed me the wrong way... So I wont be going there. I spoke with them at the Tower Shoppes ar show on Friday night in Davie.
By the way, you need to remove the link to your website from your signature. That is reserved for supporting vendors. If you want, you are more than welcome to become one. Let me know if you need a contact.
Nice way to get welcomed. Any way your zo6 sounds like a better candidate for modding then my ls7. My shops owner has a similar c5z and a procharger. All i can say is scary fast. Good Luck and try and find a trustworthy shop to stick with.
Congrats on the new Vette and welcome to the site! Hit Junkman up for any questions on the C5 and I believe if he doesn't know the answer, he'll find it for you!!
