there's one thing you CAN'T do in a vette, and that is a controlled fishtail.......the freaking active handling always starts to fight...
I remember in my Mustang I can do a full city block of fishtailing.....I wish that was a sport in the Olympics

If you hold down the Traction control button for 10 seconds the active handling turns off. I do it all the time.

Yes, that's Andrew ('andrewzpsu' on the boards) and no it was not intentional (he clearly and admittedly lost control) though the initial burnout was...and yes there was a crowd watching on the hill egging all this on. The cheering from the crowd even got me to accelerate a little harder than I normally would and I got a little sideways into 2nd (yes my automatic hits pretty hard under nearly full throttle ) but I at least kept my Vette straight.
We were at a (mostly modern GTO) car show in Route 1 in New Brunswick all day and the exit to the restaurant ('On The Border') that we were at spills onto Route 1 and the layout really entices that kind of behavior. But between the spinout above, the smokey burnout by one GTO that shut down the highway for 40 seconds and finally the black GTO that got squirrelly and tapped a Lincoln Town Car and then took off (he was brought back though) these type of shananigans will no longer be tolerated at those GONE ( GTO Owners of the North East) meets/car shows.
