Arrow 2007 900HP C6 project - *lots of pics*

Hey DC Guys and Gals

Last week I showed you my twin turbo install on my C6.

The next couple weeks I will be sharing a current project i'm working on for a customer from Milwaukee Wisconsin whose name is Nick .

He has a 2007 C6 A6 with a 585hp Lingenfelter package that includes a Magnuson roots type blower . It's a nice package that's very street friendly and has a lot of low end grunt to keep you awake.

BUT, that is not enough for Nick though. He wanted about 300HP more to fuel his dire need for speed. That kind of power on a stock short-block would be very risky and on borrowed time so we decided on a forged motor. I just finished building him a LS402 with all the goodies. It's similar to my engine that's in my C6 that most of you all know by now. I will be installing my modded D1SC 8 rib supercharger system on his car as well. The boost will be set at 13 psi. like I had it on my car. For Heads, we went with the excellent flowing Trick flows along with all the premium valve trane accesories. They slightly outflow the AFR 225's in the mid lift #.

For the suspension, I will be installing a set of PFADT coil-overs. They will greatly stabilise the cars suspension and get rid of the slide out tendency around bumpy corners. I will be able to set the rear half-shafts to sit parallel to the ground as well when accelerating hard. It helps keep the half-shafts and CV's in one piece when pushing them well past the loads they were designed to distribute. The dreaded C5-C6 wheel hop will gone as well.
They should be arriving around the 18th.

There are lots more goodies going into Nick's build which I'll share as we progress .
I will be posting progress pics until the end of the build along with driving vids when finished so stay tuned.

Thanks,

Rev extreme,

I am a vendor for them and carry them in 6 or 8 rib configurations.
The pulleys are designed with higher outer lips to prevent belt loss at high RPM's . PM me if you are interested in one.

Nice Build Perry, I'm going to have to build something wild here soon to compete with you. I'm not a forced induction guy but I think I could build a NA motor to compete, it may not be very street friendly but it would compete. Ha Ha Nice work.

Patrick who is building the DC Z back up for you? You might as well let me build you something wild so you can blow it apart again next year.

Perry, do you find it easier to drop the whole subframe out of the car like that rather than pull the motor out by itself. Just curious. I like to pull the motor itself.

Right now I'm just trying to get the DC-Z back in town, which will be several weeks yet. It's STILL in Pennsylvania. It needs a lot of work besides the engine... needs body work too, rear clip... rockers. I haven't even started thinking about it because it's a nightmare .

That's a bummer. Why so long on the transport? I wish I could help you on the body work, but I'm more mechanic than body guy. Let me know if I can help.

Thanks for the offer to help! As for transport, seems far too many ship their cars to Corvettes at Carlisle... and to get a car picked up there that isn't on the schedule is all but impossible. So, you wait until they can schedule you.

Sounds killer Perry. Can't wait to see the videos of it together. Patrick just ship the DCZ down here to me. I'll get it put together for you.

If it ain't a C-4 it's a parts car.

Technically, something that is "behind your back" is really right in front of you.

Who is storing it for you there? I'm only an hour and a half from Carlisle so it wouldn't be a big deal to run up there and get it if you need to get it out of there.

I had it flatbedded to the shipper, it's in their storage area, just not on a truck yet. No matter how you slice it, it's a drag to not see that car in the garage each day!
