The only woopin he could do is on a whoopy cushion.

Ok guys a few weeks before the rental and I hope everyone know about the gears required, a hemlet is for sure required, no short pants and the full time racers could remind us of everything else.

Hey Mario,
Looks like your Blue S/C C5 has some competition from another Blue S/C C5.
ECS Novi 346 goes 9.19@148
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I went to the track today to tune my car for 10.00 Index racing.
After a couple passes, I got it dailed in pretty close. With nothing else left to do,
I changed the tune to 70% and made a pass 9.38@ 144 w/1.447 60'.
The track was closing soon, so I hurried up and tuned it to 100% and made a pass.
This was done with the new ECS Powerglide Conversion. I was only foot braking it for now for testing.
On the 9.19 run I ran out of gear 2 1/2 car lengths before the stripe, bounding of the rev limiter, then lifting.
There's a high 8 sec pass with this setup I'm sure with a little tweaking.
I want to Thank ECS for all the Great Products and Work they do.
I guess those ECS guys can still build a fast car now and then.

Yep...he just posted this over at the CF site. He's got 4.10 gears in with that Powerglide and he said he was off the limiter at the top of the track, otherwise he'd have gone even faster.

Nice, I guess that answers Mario's question asking if ECS is still building fast cars. I think this the first powerglide conversion in a C5?

Hey man, what the heck are you trying to say? Dvl's not honest because he DOESN'T WEAR A HAT?

While 3.73s might make a little more tame on the street, I'm thinking that perhaps 3.90s might make it ideal? Or maybe a change in tire height?

Nope, Paul Z's Cartek powered-tuned/Neverlift converted C5 Z06 had a 'glide in it many years ago.
Here's a video of it in action:
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Z...rbo_209119.htm
Jay's car might be the first one to retain IRS though.
