Just watch this, there wasn't a porsche or anything else that could even attempt laps like this.. Ferrari..... Please...
Even modded the Z's are 100K less than a Ferrari or Lambo.. and at least 70K less than a Porsche 997 Twin Turbo and we eat those for breakfast at the track.
The C6R's have to run in the Lemans with added weight and intake restrictions so the europeans dont get raped too bad.
Don't believe the Hype!
Enjoy... http://videos.streetfire.net/video/681802.htm

The C6 Z06 and the ZR1 put ferraris, lambos, bmws, mercedes benz, porsches, etc in shame.

That's a bit of a misnomer much the way it's a misnomer to claim the Corvette has truck suspension. The Ferrari uses the same damper technology (I don't know if they are the same actual part) as the ZR1, the magnetic dampers. The Ferrari almost certainly also uses double A-arms but that's hardly unique to GM.
The Corvette isn't the end all be all of handling but anyone who claims it handles poorly better be comparing it to something REALLY good like a Swift DB-1 or something.

A lot of those comments are directed toward American cars in general. Our cars are "Rubbish", "Crap", "Junk", ..... If you see an American car beat European or Japanese competitors on Youtube, the comments invariably include "Yeah, but try to take a corner in it". They're nothing but hatters, plain and simple.

Well it's pretty funny how a truck suspension super-car that cost like 65-75K kills a ferrari, lambo, etc on a track.

Odd that. However, I think there is one thing that helps (beyond the Corvette being a solid performance car), price. The Corvette is by no means inexpensive however, it is in a price realm where people who car about track performance can really consider tracking the car. Too many of the people I know who lust for Ferraris want the cars because of the name and mystique. If the Ferrari actually handled like a Mustang they would still want it because they believe Ferrari is the best. That sort of person seems less likely to be the sort to risk a car on the track. A Corvette provides Ferrari lap times at 1/5 the price.
