OBX Headers ???

Has anyone put a set of OBX headers on there car? $700.00 shipped to the house, plus $50.00 for 02 extension. Half the cost of other sets. Pretty cheap, but are they cheap quality?

These are the infamous ebay headers. There is a lot of speculation as to their quality and the rip-off of their design from more well known manufacturers. I believe they are made in China and if you do a search over on CF, there should be some more info available.

So these are the ARH purported "clones?"

As they say...typically, cheap things aren't good and good things aren't cheap. Buyer, beware.

I'm not sure which company they are an "alleged" rip off of, but I don't believe there are more than a handful of people that have openly tested these on the forums. Power wise the gains may be similar, but quality is undertermined.

OP. For $700 +/- you can get a proven quality set of used headers.

There you do, quality headers for $700. Personally I would not install ebay parts on a Corvette, but to each their own.

You'll find that even the $1500 plus headers are either made in mexico or china for less then $5 a day labor so might as well buy the cheaper ones made from the same place.

Worse is some long tubed headers being sold for C6s are nothing but those designed for the C5s.
Look at the shape of the primary opening on head flange and the shape of the exhaust ports

I happen to personally know whose headers they're copies of. (I am in no way connected with their company, but I am good friends with the owner).
Their headers are made right here in the U.S.A!!!!!!! I've watched them being built here with my own eyes. I don't want to get into a pissing match over this issue with any of the other manufacturers, vendors or importers. Over the weekend the issue of cheap imported Chinese headers came up in "that other forum" and as soon as I voiced my opinion about those cheap ass Chinese headers the thread was removed by the "forum Nazis". Ain't no way I'm knowingly putting Chinese parts or any other foreign parts on my American car if I can help it. When are Americans going to wake up? Gotta be friggin stupid to send $700 American dollars overseas.
