What are the most sought after Corvette collectibles?

Just curious to hear about (and maybe see) some of the most sought-after pieces of Corvette memorabilia or collectibles. Doesn't matter if it's a toy, a piece of dealer literature, a diecast collectible, whatever.

Maybe it's something you've been scouring swap meets for years for, maybe it's something you already own and all your Corvette friends want.

Thanks!

I don't know why, but I cant seem to find a red 84' coupe anywhere. They are always convertibles. This is probably the least sought after though

I have never found a 73 either.

Someone needs to make one.

What gets me excited is oddball stuff from Corvette's history. Would I pay money for Zora Duntov's favorite crescent wrench? or a fender off a vintage Corvette racer? An original sketch of the Mako Shark concept? The clay used to design the C6?

Maybe... but we never get to see these things.

I would say that in general it would be an item associated with a particular person in Corvette history. I mean, I'd love to have a helmet Ron Fellows wore at Le Mans or some original sketches from the design studio in the 1950's. It's the one-off stuff that gets the most attention. That... and I would say most of us would like a scale model of our exact car. I can't find a Y2K coupe in Light Pewter; plenty of verts out there though.

I really like those big, heavy catalogues or "Car Selectors" that Chevy dealers had years ago.
I have four of these, 1957, 1964, 1967 and 1968.
They are not Corvette specific of course, but truly interesting objects I think.

[QUOTE=Patrick;1438620]What gets me excited is oddball

Zora smoked Lucky Strike , and at the end of every work day, 4:00 was extra dry martine time. Didn't matter where on the raod or whatever, but everything stopped that very momnet for his dry Martini.
And Poosey was his call for Elfi, LOL
