most awesome c4 hood ever IMO

Saw a 96 red vert today with the most awesome hood i have ever seen. It has the L88 hood scoop glassed in and it is painted black in the scoop and sets off the red of the car. A few of us are cruising tomorrow and I am taking my 5D to get some good pics. As soon as I get done, I will post pics. I am going to get mine done this way for sure. I love the look of these scoops on the c5 and c6 and didn't have a clue if I would like it on the c4. That all changed as soon as I walked in the garage and saw the car. My jaw hit the floor and I was drooling. I WANT ONE NOW!!!

welllllllll......to each his own....JMO.

As much as I love the curves of the C3, the C4 is subtle and mixing the 2 design concepts looks misplaced.

I think the hood looks good. IMO I think if you cut about 2 inches off the bottom then put it on it would fit the C4 style a lil better. You look at Raid's hood..it looks great as a cowl hood but when you start changing the design of the cowl like the L88 to fit the style of the C4..you need to change the scoop a lil just to make ppl wonder what is different about it. They kno what it is just cant place what is different.

Raidmagic, that is exactly what I am talking about. It is on a red vert with the black painted in and I absolutely want it done to mine. I will get those pics tomorrow and get them on after the cruise. I don't believe the one I saw was as high as the one in those pics.

Well, we did the cruise today and the 96 with the hood didn't show, if someone will tell me how I will try to put a pic in of the vettes that went today. I am going to buy me a used hood and make me a hood like this, so I can keep my original. The guy I cruise with fabs these hoods and he doesn't glass it on top of the original hood, he cuts out the center section and glasses in the mold. It's the bomb. Someone please IM me and tell me how to insert a pic in a post please. I tried the insert image button and told me to put a url in for my pic. Computer dumb, don't know what that means.
