Dallas Mavericks assistant coach and former player Ronald “Popeye” Jones is free on bond after Richardson police arrested Jones for drunk driving Sunday night. Police spokesman Jonathan Wakefield stated Jones declined a breathalyzer, but officers believed he was drunk. There was a “minor” struggle when police tried to arrest him and Jones was taken to the ground. Jones is charged with driving while intoxicated. However police said Monday he will not be charged with resisting arrest. Apparently the cops feel bad for kicking the shit out of him.
