My Corvette(s)
1986 c4/1999 FRC-z19-z51

Talked to GM employee on the C7 in 2013

Went to the vettes and vets this weekend at the NCM
Took a caravan to some attractions, our lead car was driven buy a Corvette employee.I asked about the C7 he said they wouldn't be out til 2013 and the body style is the same all their
doing are upgrades to the car, body style is as same as the C6.
I guess we will have to wait til about 2018 for body change.Start saving money now!

According to your information....are the body panels changing?

Sounded like the c7 was going to be a new body style....
Sounded previously like high strength steel would be used to lower the weight...

I'm hoping for direct injection as well as a DSG transmission. (wishful thinking but it would be cool if GM at the very least put an automatic transmission without a torque convertor but rather used computers to shift gears...(one of the GM trucks has this now as does mercedes)

Thanks for taking the time to post up what you heard..

Just not sure its accurate. Hopefully it would be....as it would keep my c6 from being the "new version" but I doubt it..

Like I said before in C7 post, when I had my NCM delivery, my tour guide said that their will be a C7 Split Window in 2012 as the 2013 model. So that tells me that is at least a part design change on a few parts.

Find that one hard to believe. The compitition alone will not let that happen as prospective buyers will want a freshened apperance. Not an 8yr old style.

Wow, 14 posts and already making enemies and alienating yourself.

You said "Let's try to avoid the stereotypes for vette owners and act at least a little educated."

Then turn right around and say "Nice confederate flag, very progressive. Hick."

What is wrong with Southern heritage? You hate people who think differently from you? Guess that makes you the hater. Not very "progressive" of you. Bet you are one of the people who does not understand the dates in history and just believes what you have been spoon fed in the liberal education camps known as public schools.

That flag has a wide range of significance interpreted in many different ways!

We live in America the man can fly that flag off his pickup truck if he so choses to do so! Regardless of "cream puff softie progressives" who muzzle there own views and beliefs based on public acceptance...

Why can't we just let the split window die. It's sucks. Zora hated it. I am not a fan at all.
