Explain Your DC Handle!
As I look at various screen names, I try and guess what they mean. I use to do the same with license plates in California as some of them were pretty creative. Some of the names I've seen have me totally stumped so I would like to get some clarification to what your names mean. I'll start with my very own.
In college (the first time I went), I was a skirt chaser (that will be no news to Teresa ). I couldn't get enough of women. I once tried to holla' at a sista' from a sorority who told me that I could not talk to her unless I was a member of her brother fraternity, or was a little brother to her sorority. I had seen the big brothers pledging and that did not look like fun so I decided to go the little brother route.
When you pledge, they give you a special shirt that you had to wear everyday with your pledge name on it. The girls got to choose the pledge name you were stuck with. At 18 years old, I must admit that I had quite the body and the girls took one look at my butt and viola! Junkman was born (they said I had a lot of junk in my trunk). The 2008 is my Marine boot camp platoon number. Combine the two and you get "Junkman2008".
So that's mine, what is yours?

When I had my 02 ZO6 I named her " The Black One " so the name passed on to the 08 ZO6.
I'm sure AJ has another name for me....

My two favorite sports teams. The Oakland Raiders and the Orlando Magic.
Years ago when I first got the internet, and to be honest my first computer , we signed onto AOL and I had to come up with a screen name. I went through every Raiders/Magic name I could come up with then my wife combined the two and here I am. The cool part is I've every place I sign up too it's available.

Cobra because at the time that I started using this SN I had an 03 Cobra(well still have one just a different one) and the number 4 because I am/was a huge wrestling fan, well 80's/90's pro wrestling fan anyway and I am a huge fan of Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen so that is where the four comes from.

My first screen name I tried was Phantom Wood and it got banned in less then 6 hours. Never did understand why especially since I didn't even post with that name (that I recall). Wood is my last name. I got Phantom as a call sign in the Air Force cause I had a knack of disappearing and reappearing at will it seemed. 01 is the year I graduated High School and Basic Training. So now I just put PHNTM and the year of my vette on my license plates. So on my GS is PHNTM 10

Before my career shifted gears, I use to edit broadcast tv programs. There is an edit term called matchframe. I had worked for an ad agency in the mid 80s which had set up one of the first intranet networks that I had seen. They had us decide what our email address would be so I chose matchframe. All of us editors there chose an editing term and that sort of carried over to being my online identity from then on.
Now I rarely edit video anymore so it is sort of ironic that I still use that term.
