Give the last movie you watched a rating

Let's use a scale of 1-to-10.

I'll get it started...

"Sherlock Holmes."

Screened this eagerly awaited film the other night, starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and Rachel McAdams. Downey brings comic relief, charm and action to the lead character. Dark overtones reminded me of "Sweeney Todd." Great fight ring and shipyard action sequences. Story may be hard to follow, but comes together in the end when audience is hand led through plot twists. Can McAdams help avert global disaster? She can save my world anytime.

Ending sets up the sequel.

Eight out of Ten Stars.

I would give There Will Be Blood a 10 out of 10. It was one of the few newer movies that I actually wanted to watch again.

That was also the last movie I watched, I'll give it the same ratings you did. I also just watched the new Star trek, I'll give it a 8.5.

The last movie I saw??

It was Two Lane Blacktop. Good car flick which was the 1970 answer to the bike hit, Easy Rider which was made a year earlier in 1969.

Two Lane Blacktop is a real gearhead movie, which has little to no music in it. That is sort of ironic since it was financed and produced by James Taylor, (who also acted in it as the mechanic) the Beach Boys and Art Garfunkle, the mainstay of music of the era.

If you like Big Block screaming 55 Chevys and other muscle cars of the late 60's and early 70's, you will like this flick. If you are looking for a polished well photographed film, you will be disappointed.

I give Two Lane Blacktop either or 8 out of 10 stars...... which ever methods we are using in rating films.

I should have that in my mailbox today from netflix. I saw "The Hangover" a couple of days ago, it was over-rated in my opinion. I'll give it a 6 out of 10.
