80% of that track is about staying on the gas on turns so you dont kiss any walls
Sounds pretty wild, always wanted to go there. My first & only was VIR which was mostly surrounded by run off area.
Now I'm not in a big hurry to get on a RR track with a lot of walls.

What tires where you on, your runflats?

I meant I told you to learn the track from videos!

But its good you got an instructor this time...the glen would have been a bad place not to have one.

I was on runflats. I didn't push the car, stayed in 4th.

Can't blame ya there dude, you've probably had enough of the walls in drag racing to last a lifetime.

But I will say this, Marc...after seeing Jay pedal/drive his car on a very cold track at MIR late last fall I'm not suprised he was able to come out of this last close encounter with what many (myself included) would consider fairly minor damage...the guy can drive, plain and simple.

Forged 402 stroker, ETP 215 ported/polished heads, 1 7/8" AR headers, Fast 90/LS2 TB, Oz Exo-skel dual disc clutch, 5 point custom roll cage, 4.10 gears, DTE strut brace, DTE hardened output shaft, Rwhp/Rwtq?...enough to go 10.44@133.9 with a 1.55-60' and a slipping clutch...thank you RobZ for driving and ECS for the build.

Oh no doubt, piloting an out of control low flying projectile on tall bias plies out back, skinnies up front, drag suspension underneath at what was likely 140-150mph at that point to such a minimal amount of damage is no small feat.
I've steered out of some relatively bad ones at 40-60mph going down a slippery track but that's an entirely different world than what Jay was facing last weekend.

You're going way to slowly into the uphill Edward . Notice how my wheels are actually bent out .... on the otherhand , Im not sure that was a good thing .

I love the Glen , it is SOOO challenging I spent the whole day just working on my lines . Last session of the day with the gentleman with the blue Z06 was the best of that day , he worked with my on shift points and had me going 5-10 MPH throughout all the sections , excellent instruction . I still gave about a million point by though ...

Trackmaster , smooth is fast , BrooklynC6 .

Which is exactly why drag racing is beneath me ... I cant be hurried due to peer pressure , we're all ending up in the same place anyway .
