I was just browsing some photos of the Corvette C6.Rs at Laguna Seca and realized that Corvette Racing added the 50 Anniversary Logo to the cars. I'm betting we see it a Le Mans as well.

Lets build on that great driving from last weekend. Eliminate the pit penalties. Tough race indeed through and through. I can't wait!

I half expected the car to be white with the blue stripes to really hit home the look of the 1960 car. Anyone think we might see a night before the race paint swap A La the RFZ race car at Sebring the year they changed it up?

I think that would be neat, but remember the switch was on Ron's car and it was also his last race that year except for Mosport and LeMans. So it was more a tribute to Ron.

As for the silly pit lane mistakes, I am wondering what is going on, their pit crew has always been the mark that all the other teams shot for.

Now for the new GT2 GM motor powered C6-R. It will have the legs on the long straights at Lemans, so I look for it to do well there. My concern is will the new GM power plant go the distance.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Corvette’s first visit to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, GM has opened up the media archives and is showing this 1960 documentary which captures Corvette’s first class win at the historic sports car race.

Narrated by Dr. Dick Thompson, aka “The Flying Dentist”, the 35-minute film follows the three Briggs Cunningham Corvettes and the #4 Camoradi Corvette from arrival in France to the post-race celebration.

Zora is shown in the film as he was a consultant to the Briggs Cunningham team and was listed as a reserve driver.

Love that documentary. It's funny how he says the brakes were great but in his interview a few weeks ago he said they were terrible.
