question on aftermarket "non pop-up" headlights

just a question I was pondering while I was looking through the 2-3 different types of non pop-up headlights. can you put HID's in them without melting the plastic? does anyone have this combo?

i wanna see this to as well as hearing the good/the bad about them....other than the obvious like motors going out on the stock headlights
i think the non pop ups look better when lights are on but, when the oem lights are down the car looks a lot cleaner because the paint vs the plastic housing

I've got HID's in my Depo headlights. Have only had them on long enough to know they work, car is currently getting a blower put on it.

HID's do not create a heat issue. Also, the none popups that I have seen were all HID's. Check out RadioFlyer's threads.

Nothing puts out heat like a traditional incandescent bulb.

Fitment is pretty good. I picked these up used, already painted. Install will be much easier if you have an extra pair of hands.

On that other forum. These have a habit of getting what some refer to as spiderwebbing in the lenses (those small crack that are not always visible depending on the light), an imperfection I can live with especially for the price I got them for. I see you're in greenwood, I used to live at southport and 37.

I lived on the south side since '94 when I started at U of I. Left Indy about a year and a half ago to go into business with my father, got tired of the desk job. Now I farm for a living. You may have seen me, here's my ride:
