Gear Ratio for best all around performance

Right now we have 3000rpm at 70mph with 225/75/15 (po put those on)

Ration clac says this:

Engine RPM: 3000
Vehicle Speed: 70
Read End Gear: 3.60662883223417

I would assume somebody sometime installed a set of 355's

That's the same as mine with a 3.08 and turbo 400 trans. Is your's an OD tranny or 3 speed (turbo 350)? If your's is an OD and it turns that many RPM's then something is cooky. I plan on a 200r4 and 3.55's in mine one day.

255/60/r15 front and 275/60/r15 rear. Before it had 225/75/r15 on all four and it ran 3000 from 70 -80 mph.

Mine runs between 2700-2900 at 70-80 mph with the new tires. OD would be the best bet cause you'd save on engine wear and tear and fuel mileage. Count the rotation and let me know what you come up with
