84 wont crank dead key

Car sat for two years. started it about 6 month ago no problum other then hard start. tryed to start car again. it was cranking fine with new battery. then nothing turn key and nothing but the hum of the fuel pump.

securty light flashing when I open door, it goes out when I turn ING on, in the start position the secuty light flahes again, no crank.

I DID TRY UNLOCKING DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WITH KEY AS THE SURITY INSTUCTIONS STATE, NO CHANGE, CAR IS DEAD.

CAN THE SECURITY BE BYPASSED OR IS IT ing PROBLEM

Remove the 10amp in-line fuse behind the DIC.

as always start with the basics and verify the battery has 13 volts, then verify the starter works when you jump the solenoid connections manually and the engines getting fuel pressure and ignition spark at the plugs, you should easily be able to bypass the vats and get the engine to spin,
bypass the ignition and security with a manual starter test switch (look thru the link) starter test switches normally cost well under $20 and youll find them useful in the tool box.
testing the battery and getting it to turn over before you move to the next issue, that is totally separate from tracking down why or if it won,t start up, but its a required first step

I was too short in my reply. I was only responding to the "CAN THE SECURITY BE BYPASSED" query. On your '84, you can remove the 10amp in-line fuse behind the DIC to disable security.

To troubleshoot the no crank problem, follow Grumpy's lead.
