Is anyone planning to be in Detroit for the debut of the 2014 Corvette? I am making loose plans to be there...have to see how the schedule shakes out between now and then.

I think Longtimer is going to be there, since he is being given special recognition as the President of the "C7 Rear-end Fan Club."

I

I plan on being there. I was there when they released the '05, '06, Z06 and ZR1, so this will be another debut trip for me.

My wife and I are discussing it, but haven't made a firm decision yet.

If energy and enthusiasm were a substitute for experience and expertise, then I could hire my 12 year old to do this job.

Leave my man Longtimer alone! He has passion about the car he has supported with his wallet and loyalty over a lot of years.

everybody has the right to say his opinion.
well, his opinion may not be the opinion of everybody else's but it is driven by passion. and IF the car looks like what we think it will, he is RIGHT. in terms of design of course.
regarding the performance and all it will be world class, and many will buy it because it is a Vette.
maybe the design will be fixed on the C8...who knows

to tell you the truth, I hope you will not hate me for this, but I don't really like the C5 either. I mean the looks. And the little triangle on the A-pillar is not my favorite design element either. but somehow the C6 looks perfect

Maybe things have changed, but I thought I read where that unveil was to a 'limited showing', tickets were required, and a package for that event and lodging were available from NCM.

Then, again, maybe a special preview with a public one later at the show.

Since I live in Indy and we're fairly close to Detroit, I plan on being there. I'll be taking LOT'S of pictures and some videos to share... I'll probably spend an hour just walking around and around it, trying to decide whether or not I like it.

Hopefully, I WILL like it...

You can only have it one way, America... individual freedom or big government. Which is it going to be?
