Hello to all

Recently purchased 2000 c5 and doing general inspection found hair line crack in plastic tank on upper radiator hose. I have searched site but can,t find detailed removal instructions on replacing radiator on a c5. Does anyone know where i might find this? Any info will be appreciated.

Welcome to DC. Fellow c5 owner here. Mine a 2001 coupe. This site is very helpfull and if you own a c5 Junkman is god for info on your car here. His writeups and info is the best here. Just need to catch him when he isn't chasing the fairer gender.

I'm sure Junkman could tell you how to get that radiator out in his sleep......if he could get the girl off of his arm.

Well, I do have a small bit of experience with that blasted thing!

But here's the deal. There's a TSB that talks about NOT replacing the radiator depending on where the hairline crack is located. Are you 100% positive that the crack is in the plastic or is it in the radiator filler neck?

2000 c5 radiator replacement

Thanks for the reply junkman i hear you are the man when it comes to corvettes The crack is in the plastic tank just behind the filler neck not in the filler neck itself I have started to remove but decided to ask here b-4 i made a mistake. This is the original radiator so you know where the filler neck attaches to the top radiator hose is all plastic. I will appreciate any advice you can give. It sounds like you have been down this road many times and i appreciate people who have hands on experience. Thanks

Okay, first fill out your profile so that it includes the YEAR of your car too, not just C5. Second, PM me your email address and I'll send you the instructions for removing an reinstalling your radiator.
