K & N filter for the ZR1

Has anyone replaced their stock filter for a K & N filter? If so, do you need to reset the computer to adjust for the increased air intake? And if so, how do you do it? Thanx!

There shouldn't be any issues with just a K&N since its ahead of the MAF sensor. The computer will adjust for the flow since it can detect it.

My car is not a ZR1, but it is a C6, and I had the K+N air filters on it with not one issue or code thrown. One thing you should check, just like every oiled air filter, every oil change or so, is the pins on the MAF sensor. Some of the oil (hard to see with the eye) can coat the pins on the MAF and the car will not read the air properly. You won't lose a noticeable amount of performance, but it doesn't hurt to take the MAF sensor off and clean it with the proper cleaner. They sell the cleaner at every auto part store. Good luck.
