in order for a firearm to be sold in the US, it has to pass many regulatory safety checks. One of which is the drop test. Said firearm gets dropped from 3' (and landing in pretty much every possible angle/direction) repeatedly and cannot discharge once.

Hell, the gun genie is already out of the bottle . . . an he ain't going back in anytime soon!

One of the major issues with guns is that having one on you changes your demeanor.

My demeanor never changes, regardless of whether I am carrying. Anyone who has a demeanor change while carrying, should not be carrying.

I've experienced some behavior, where folks get emboldened when carrying. Instead of diffusing a potential incident, they were more willing to confront and challenge.

Of course this isn't everyone who carries, but it does occur.
