in order for a firearm to be sold in the US, it has to pass many regulatory safety checks. One of which is the drop test. Said firearm gets dropped from 3' (and landing in pretty much every possible angle/direction) repeatedly and cannot discharge once.

Hell, the gun genie is already out of the bottle . . . an he ain't going back in anytime soon!

One of the major issues with guns is that having one on you changes your demeanor.

OK, I'll give you that . . . however, I imagine your training and background places you in a different category.

My demeanor never changes, regardless of whether I am carrying. Anyone who has a demeanor change while carrying, should not be carrying.

Fascism is a religion of the state. It assumes the organic unity of the body politic and longs for a national leader attuned to the will of the people. It is totalitarian in that it views everything as political and holds that any action by the state is justified to achieve the common good. It takes responsibility for all aspects of life, including our health and well-being, and seeks to impose uniformity of thought and action, whether by force or through regulation and social pressure. Everything, including economy and religion, must be aligned with its objectives.

Ronnie brings a tear to my eye. We haven't had a true leader since him.

I've experienced some behavior, where folks get emboldened when carrying. Instead of diffusing a potential incident, they were more willing to confront and challenge.

Of course this isn't everyone who carries, but it does occur.
