I predict the C7 tail lights are round...
It just dawned on me...I think the tail light assembly might be somewhat rectangular, but the lights shining thru the lens will be round.
Rectangular lens:

I wish it were so
I as well as many people would hope they would at least put some of the traditional Corvette roundness back into the tail lamps but I think there has been too much speculation that they will be Camaro like. Take SRT Viper when it was in testing for example....the renderings on that car was pretty damn accurate. I just think the coupe could've been thought out just a little better than this.

I, on the other hand say, as I've always said the tail lights will be red.

In defense of the O.P:
In school I learned that although everyone was convinced the earth was flat it ultimately turned out to be round.
With that said, I won't be holding my breath....

The lens is rectangular, but only a circular part is illuminated.
