Hi, I just imported a 79 C3 from LA to the UK and I was wondering how I would find out the original spec of this car from new?

Nice info! I just noticed this option on the option list:
UP6 AM-FM Radio Stereo w/ CB. 4439 cars are listed as having this option. For the life of me, I never heard of a car coming from the factory with a radio/CB. Anybody here every buy a Vette with a factory CB?

You could get factory CB beginning with the 1978 models and each year after that.

MALKY: go here http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...x.php?cmd=area and see if you can obtain a copy of the dealer invoice for your 79. The invoice will list the name and address of the original dealer, the date the car was scheduled to be shipped, all of the options, colors, prices, and additional information.

Here's the invoice for my 80 -L82. I got it from the Allied-Vaughn folks listed in the link.

Not a Corvette but I had a '79 Bronco with the factory CB. The radio was behind the dash so the only thing visible was the mic. All the controls for the radio were on it . Neat little option but never really did use it.
