C5Z Firewall.

Due to a few mods I want to do, would like to cut away some
of the firewall directly behind my intake. This looks like
it is cosmetic mostly. Does this give direct access to the interior or is this a mini air pocket in front of the firewall. Looks like the windshield wiper drain area.

This is on a C5Z 2002.

Also, does anyone have pictures of a c5z with the dash completely removed? Putting a cage in and would like to get ready for the removal.

Thanks.

What mods did you do to require cutting the firewall?

framing up a cage in dash and intake mods that require some
"cowl" trimming.

I believe that the installation of the FAST intake manifold necessitates cutting a portion of the firewall and installing a plastic "pocket"? I know that it was a requirement on early c6's, but not sure on later models.

Why do they call it "common sense" when, in fact, it has become so uncommon?

That's my opinion, it outta be your's.
