Doesn't it look like a Stingray?

Looking at the front and back, I see a "stingray" in the styling...might they be trying to get that look and bring back the Stingray?

I have a feeling that Stingray will be name of the base model revealed tomorrow. With that rearend maybe they should have called it the flounder.

I see Nissan GTR, Ferrari 599, Aston Martin and Camaro. Not sure where you are seeing anything Stingray... or any nods to Corvette heritage whatsoever.

Clearly the 5th gen Camaro gave a strong nod to the 1st gen Camaro heritage. I would have liked to have seen that approach with the C7 Corvette styling. Some nod to past Corvette designs, but modern interpretation, of course.

I don't see that here. I see a copycat "best of other cars" design.

I'm sure it will be a screamer on the track.

Uh, no.

Just walked out to my garage and looked at my '66 to double check... No, no Stingray in what we've seen so far.

It's Marketing 101.

I see more Cadillac infused design rather than heritage from the Corvette Stingray.

They dug up an old-school name for a new-school car that has no resemblance to a Corvette Stingray. But hey, that was likely marketing's idea to satisfy those feeling there was no nod to heritage in the car whatsoever.

There is definitely a nod to Aston Martin in the rear-quarter and somewhat in the front.

There may still be a few of us who remember this photo . . .

http://strumors.automobilemag.com/fi...x-1024x626.jpg

My dad who sold Chevys for 30 years brought his boys to the showroom when one was on display. I was hooked on the brand at that point . . .

GM can keep parking C2's next to the C7 all they want... it's only making me want a C2 more.
