I realize having the tach front and center is valuable when racing. But since 99.9% of Corvette driving is done NOT racing, it seems the speedo is out of the line of sight, and probably partially hidden by the steering wheel. I have HUD on my car, but I'm an analog kind of guy, and I automatically look at my speedometer to check my speed. The digital display in the HUD is secondary. If they really wanted to make that cluster reconfigurable, they should have made it possible to switch the speedometer and tach making either one front and center depending on the needs.

That is very cool! I just wonder how the HUD looks, and if it reflects the layout shown in the 8" center screen.

Hard to tell from the pics because head position and tilt wheel position would both affect visibility of that speedo. My guess is that they have done lots of testing and it all is perfectly visible. Just seems it might have been nice to make the digital screen bigger and include the speedo in the digital display so it could be moved around. Maybe in the future.

My point was, the MPH is shown in the center display.

Yeah, like I said, I have the HUD, but my eyes don't go there first to find the speed. Too many decades of looking for the analog gauge. I'm sure the younger guys would be just the opposite.

Thanks for the pics Chris. Good to see the HUD has more detail and colors. This looks quite trick!

I'm an old school (and old) analog gauge guy. The electronic reconfigurable instrument panels are the coming thing for sure but don't do a whole lot for me despite their added features.
I prefer something more like a NASCAR stock car instrument cluster (perhaps "styled up" a bit).
