VERY cool.
I did this one below way back in January 2003, based on the C5 pixels on the left, before we saw anything about the C6. I've always thought referencing the '63-'64 cove would be an interesting approach. I was excited they did with the C6 ZR1.

If the C7 looked like this I would not be trying hard to like it I would be trying hard to convince the wife to let me buy another Corvette!!!

Never mind the ZR-1, I wish the coupe looked like that. That thing looks mean.

Serious suggestion to GM: Hire the guy that produced this design and fire Ed Welburn's sorry ass.

I imagine Bennion's group is doing the work, and some of the team has done some boundary pushing work that never makes it beyond the "suits". He appears to begrudgingly be playing the game but has much invested in its design.
Welborn and Juechter, though seemingly good people, are motivated by making the sale. Every presentation they make is crafted to convince people to buy the car.
Welborn is the smooth, charismatic guy and Juechter the technical guy who is also comfortable working the crowd.
All planned...
Of course, this could all be a bunch of crap, but it's what I read in what we've seen with this roll out.

GM will definitely come up with something. Whether it's better is purely in the eye of the beholder.

Those concept images look sharp! I'd by one tomorrow. Problem... GM will likely overly "bean count" and not do what the designers and engineers really want to produce. Time shall tell...

I like the new C7, but this car is more of what I envisioned the new C7 to be. I would definitely prefer this body style.

Ok I may get shot for this.
This design is lame and ripped off from older vettes and exotic cars.
The front fascia is literally off an Aventdor, the headlights are straight up 458 italia, the hood scoop is a direct transfer of the Z07/ZR1 same as the fender vents are copies of the ZR1. The rear brake ducts are just blah. The molded in rear bumperette lacks functionality with the NASCAR spoiler hanging 15" off the rear of the car. The greenhouse is identical to the C7 except this car doesn't have a visible hatch opening.
The deep dish wheels and round tailights are great looking.
