Looks like my plans for 2/2 just changed. I am either not going to that show, or will be there with a picket sign in my hands.

Boil this all the way down to the basic element...I am willing to bet that an analysis was done and a business decision was come to where they feel this was the most advantageous way to go. Free markets are a bitch when they cut against what you feel you should be getting, ain't they?

No, free markets are never bitch.. until you buck them. I personally think these guys pissed down their leg.. what kind of morons would exclude the biggest segment of their market?

I wondered the same thing....so when obvious answers fail...go to the default....follow the money. That's the only explanation.

I'm pretty sure Reed Exhibition (the company that puts on the show) is a British company. So they could really care less what the 2nd ammendment means to us as Americans.

I think your understanding of the shooting and hunting market is a little undernourished. The hunters and the guys who buy ARs are the same guys.
Immediately following Sandyhook, Dicks Sporting Goods stopped selling AR's. All of the guys I shoot with immediately stopped doing business with them. One of those guys spent $8K in 2012 on shotgun shells alone. The rest of us spent about half that.
The free market will speak when the first quarter numbers come out for these companies.

So many vendors and celebrities have pulled out of this event. Cabelas, the largest sponsor of the show, has pulled out.
This show will be a ghost town.

No. I said what I meant. Free market...meaning that a business does what it needs to do for the sake of itself, NOT for caring about it customers/employees/etc. Does anyone here REALLY think that they didn't see this backlash coming (meaning loss of money)? So then why do it? There's gotta be more to this.

I found it interesting that Cabella's pulled out, I think they were a primary sponsor of the show.
