The worst thing on the C7
Again, according to Fox News -- it's the electric parking brake.

Worst thing on the C7
Without question: The embarrassing clownmakeup-gangsta tears-raccoon mask-angry face... tail light vents.
You have to wonder, truly. What were they thinking? Who thought that was a good idea?
Other than that, awesome machine that looks like nothing else while evoking great Stingray design...

I agree. Between these two articles, I think it's clear the author is not commenting on styling or performance - just ergonomics. The electric brake would certainly have a range of opinions. If it works reliably over many years, I think it's probably a good thing. That lever really can get in the way.

Yeah...I agree. The car is drive by wire, the traction control modulates the brakes. many cars have electric steering. Magnetic shocks (electrical), push button start, electric door openers..etc..etc. I'm not worried about.

The parking brake on the C6 is just plain stupid, something I've been complaining about for 8 years. Who designed this thing. some fifth grader? Why could it not be recessed into the console. No excuse for something as easy as this to hang around for that long.
IMHO, the interior of the C7 is a direct copy of a 1990 design.
The entire car gets a C- in my book.

Why do they call it "common sense" when, in fact, it has become so uncommon?
That's my opinion, it outta be your's. |

what im not impressed the C7
I first want to say that i like the design of the C7 and many of the up-grades, however, i wished it had about 485hp. The performance is about the same as a Grand Sport. I was hoping it was closer to the C6 Zo6. Maybe Corvette performance numbers will not improve to much across the board. This is my only real complaint so far, does anybody share similar thoughts.

Well the LT-1 may lack 55 hp when compared to the LS7 it only loses 20 ft-lb of torque to it.

I don't think the final HP and torque numbers are settled yet. I think the engine is still going through final tune and EPA certification. Once that's done we will get the actual HP/Torque.
Just like when I went to NAIS in 2009 to see the unveiling of the 2009 ZR1. On the plaque it was initially rated at 600HP and 600 ft-lbs of torque. When it was finally released for production the final numbers were 638HP/604ft-lb.
I'm hoping the final numbers are around 470HP/470ft-lbs. Kinda like the old LT1's of the 70's, 350/350. Wouldn't that be nice?
