hood swap

i have a hood from a 1986 corvette and would like to know if i can use it to replace the hood on a 1991 Im thinking about buying

I believe You can swap a 1986 C4 Hood onto a 1991 C4.
The only difference I can think of is 2 different style of Hood Props.

1986 Had the scissor style & latch hood prop.

1988 & up had the Nitrogen gas charged Strut Hood Prop Rod.

I know You can swap the later style gas charged hood props onto the early C4's 1984-1987.

87vette is correct only hood that wont work is an 84 because of the ducting for the crossfire. Props may be different but there are update kits to aderss that. You will have most parts on the 91. Only thing you may need would be the bracket that rivits to the hood and you could probably drill them out on the old (91) hood and install on the new (86) hood. Measure location, drill holes and rivit bracket on.
