smog pump ?
How much power would you save or gain w/e you want to call it if you didnt run the smog pump on the c4 ? I was thinking about not running it on my car unfortuantely I relized that on the l98 it would be really difficult to run the belt around the pump and not use it. Has anyone had any sucess with anything like that ? thx guys -joe

You can also run a shorter belt. On my 84 it is an 85" belt.

Any way you do it, home made or bought, it will clean up the engine bay considerably.

Agent 86, your engine bay is outrageous!
Did you do that bracket with a water-jet cutter?

I cut the flags with a scroll saw. I'm going to try the C4 logo on my next one.

So what would you charge to make one of those?

Do you need a bracket or will a shorter belt work well?

wow your engine bay is impressive agent. : some kind of eliminator bracket looks like the kind of thing I need. Agent have you noticed a difference when driving with your smog pump off ? like more backfiring or something like that. Will you just throw your smog pump back on when its time to test your car for emissions ??:

Jordan, I see you're from Cali so yeah, I know you'll need the smog pump for emission testing but for anyone else out there that doesn't have strict California style tests, I passed the Illinois emission test w/o precats, AIR and EGR. Not only that but I have the Hotcam too! Man did that feel good to pass the test w/o all that smog crap in the car.

I'll keep track of time and materials when I build another one. I planned on posting a template and info but I lost all the dimensions I took when I built it.
I am going to have to get off my lazy arse and pull it off and measure everthing again.

Hey Agent86, great job on the engine bay. You ought to post a series of pics for us. What all did it take to make the valve covers look so good. Is that paint or powder coating? Did you have to replace the emblem? Let us know.
