Torque for Lug nuts

Hi,

I have a 2003 Z06 . Had a tired replaced recently. When the tire changer went to tighten the lug nuts I asked him if the torque for this vette is the same as my 94 LT1(100ft lbs). He was not sure and the guys looked it up and found it to be 100 ft lbs as I had thought. Funny I bought my Goodyear F1 from a firestone dealer I had been using for years with my 94 LT1.. They had the better price . ($358 Installed)

All the best .

Socket Size ..

Can't help you with that ..... Since they took the wheels off I never paid attention to that.

Same as 3/4 inch. I use deep socket and put a plastic sandwich bag around the lugs to protect them a bit.

BTW, most threads on this topic suggest tightening the lugs in a star pattern using incremental torque: 30 on all lugs, then 60, then 100 (or some minor variations of that).

HTH.
