C5 Front end squeak

OK, I've got a new noise. When I go slowly over speed bumps or through speed dips or railroad tracks I get a fairly load rubber squeak in the front end under car area. I can't make it squeak buy bouncing the car by hand. Any ideas

Sounds like either the rack and pinion bushings or the lower control arms. I had an old car that did the exact same thing. New arms made it go away.

Thanks Flooznie, I kinda figured control arms. My real problem is finding a good Corvette shop in Denver. I've tried a couple with not much satisfaction. I need the oil changed and a few other small things(and this problem) and I don't know where to take it. I know there aren't many members in Denver with Vettes but anybody have any ideas? Has anybody tried or know "Corvette Connection"?

Lubricate front and rear sway bar bushings with white grease .

Thank's Z11409 another guy here at work suggested the same thing. It's worth a try before replacing control arms. But you know how squeaks are, they drive you friggin crazy especially on your Vette. BTW I noticed 409 on your user ID.....................takes me back to my second car in 1970.........a 64 Impala with a 409 and 2 4bls...................................
Those were the days!

You know what stilcrazee I like the way you think.....I almost put that in the post above. I seriously am going to get a C6, I just can't make up my mind to go now or wait for 2006. You know I haven't been a big proponent of the C6 on the forum, I just can't seem to get into the look. I still think the C5 blows it away for looks. However, 2 weeks ago my buddy got his Daytona Orange, power vert in and I was the first to drive it(besides him of course) and HOLY CRAP........what a f---ing car. I'll try what I did with my first wife.............
give it some time and maybe I can "learn" to luv her looks.. At 5'10" I don't think the headroom will be an issue! At 52yo and 205 with a sore back the creature comforts, quieter vert interior, heated seats, power top etc. in the C6 just made me a FAN! Thanks for the suggestion!

Are you talking about yourself or the car??

But seriously folks.. Have a look at the AS bar bushings.
Don't oil them, oil will ruined them! Use some graphite grease or even lubriplate.

I meant my comment as a joke. I am not thrilled by the looks of the new one either...and being a new model and the number of problems I have seen makes me want to wait.
I probably should have taken my wife's offer...we dorve by a local dealer that has a 3x black vert with polished chromes sitting out front, she said trade or sell and get it if you want. I would be tempted but those kind of offers alwaaaays cost more than the car...I think you know what I mean.
I bought a motorcycle in September and I'm still paying for her "well you got the motorcycle" purchases.

Aside from the HUD and vert, I sometimes wish I had kept my 98 coupe.
