Z06 vs Gallardo (inside Gallardo)

ok, same race but from the Gallardo's point of view, this race was posted to clear up all the crap that was posted after the first video went on streetfire.

I like this view better, first (CLEAR) view of the Z06 pulling on the street. I love it.

http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....5231177C4A&p=2

and please keep comments related to the vid

PS....Some FACTS

2 equal drivers (as stated by the men that drove the cars)
60-150MPH run
Lambo gets the honk and jump (obvious)
Both cars are completely STOCK

for more information go to www.beyondthequartermile.com
and look in the forum section, these are the guys who own both cars. They just wanted to see who would pull stronger.

Enjoy!

Gus

If you have a software firewall like Norton Internet Security, try disabling it. This should work. Good Luck and remember to reenable it after watching the video.

the comments on that site just hurt to read. What's wrong with those people?

the video on the other hand, is great. Wonder what happens from a stand still, or even a fair rolling start?

Thanks for the vid

You got your facts a little messed up

1) The drivers were equal, correct. But the race was from 40, not 60. And, the Z06 was in 2nd while the Gallardo was in 1st
2) The gallardo is not bone stock. It has a Tubi exhaust
3) This Gallardo is a press car, and is in fact one of the quicker ones. What does this mean? idk, ask the owner, this is what he said (Robi)

There, now you have it..

the jump was probably due to the lambo being in first. You can easily see where he shifted as the Z started to pull ahead.

I can't believe the comments that some people write. They give the corvette 0 respect because it is as the ricers like to call it a "dumbestic" car. Right off the bat one little ricer says "yeah,go watch the vid of (guess what?) a civic blowing away a z06.They just don't get it. Hello?.... you can make anything fast people, but you CAN'T make some things cool.Like a honda civic. The car was made for grocery getting not racing, but if you want to mod one, that's fine, but how can these people say a corvette is a piece of crap?

Take a pyschology class you'll find out they are trying to put down something they don't have because 1 they are jealous 2 they are portraying their views of their own car on another car. 3 is my favorite, becuase they are STUPID and listen to what ever a movie or MTV tells them. Its sad but kids my age are about as dumb as they come.

I hear what you're saying but there were plenty of people defending the Z06 too. I'm just so glad Chevy finally built a Corvette supercar. Its finally one of the true ultra high performance big dogs and no one can take that away. I think this car is going to gain even more street cred as time goes by and its starts to sink in just how insanely fast it is bone stock. Thank you Dave Hill!!!

I don't even bother trying to respond to those "kids". They are not even on the same level, not to sound conceited or what have you. Their reasoning is not based on any real fact gathering, and thus is flawed to begin with.

On another note, I love both cars. I would still overspend on the Lamborghini, despite the fact that it lost, purely for the sake of owning one. At that point, I wouldnt care. At the end of the day, I still get to drive home in a Lamborghini. It's the same thing I tell my friend who has a ridiculously fast evo. At the end of that race, I get to go home in my Corvette.
