NEWS!!! GM Raises Z06 PRICE 7/26/06

not the news I like to deliver;

New base price is now $70,000 before any adds....
it was $66,465

Chevrolet will announce revised 2007 model year Suggested Retail prices effective with vehicles produced on or after July 26, 2006. The revised Suggested Retail prices will affect the Corvette Z06. Dealer invoice amounts will increase accordingly. Dealer discounts remain unchanged.

All qualified bona fide sold retail orders entered in VOMS on or before July 25,2006 and delivered to the original customer after that date will be price protected. These units will be invoiced at prices in effect at the date of production; however, the dealer open account will automatically be credited for the price increase once the unit has been delivered.

That would be good news for the resale value for those of us that bought our Z's at sticker or unfortunately enough for over sticker. Not that I would ever part with my baby. For those of you 07' Z buyers out, believe me its worth whatever it cost everytime you get behind the wheel!

you're saying as if victory red was a sort of downside to the car...

Hehehe, I'm just kidding, but seriously, I'd be extatic with a victory red z06.

This car is my daily driver! I travel on I-4 daily, and it sticks out like nobodys business. If I am speeding, which I usually do not (cruise control @ 68), then I am apt to be "seen" or singled out more readily

I believe it takes the price gouging factor, by greedy stealerships, down to a more realistic level. Hell, they were asking $80K (some still do) when first advertised. You can only ask so much over MSRP you know. The mainstay of Corvette buyers (including Z06) are NOT millionares. We're working stiffs, retired cops, firemen, wives, all hoping for a piece of the dream............

BTW, who in the hell are you scared of................"THE THEY".......

No big deal. I guess if you can afford 66,500 for a car, 70,000 isn't out of range.

BTW - No comment? Are you getting soft on us?

Red face

That’s a shame
Makes for bigger incentive to mod the base C6 for those who are gonna mod anyway…

Hey Rick if you get a chance can you call me sometime this week. I don't think this changes much but I'd still like to get a final number from you. That is unless they change it again.

Thanks
Ed
