Rear Diff oil seal question - 80 vette

Do you need to take out the whole diff to replace the seal on the driver side diff yoke? How do you replace the seals on the ones on the side that are connected to the half shafts. I have a pic but it doesn't want to uploan "invaild file"?

Thank you for helping me post that picture. I was told that this was an easy fix by my shop teacher and my husband is just tearing things off. Help is needed before replacing a seal becomes a rebuild. Thanks

Yes the diff has to come out, rear cover off, remove yoke snap ring and yoke then the seal

It's an easy fix but it takes awhile to get there. Be sure to get a new diff gasket. It must be the 10 hole gasket for the 80-82 Corvette Dana. The 8 hole gasket will fit but it will warp the batwing.

Thank you

I am having no luck finding the gasket.. and both Napa and Auto Zone say it is a 13 hole or 12 hole. - I guess they think I can't count.. Going to have to order.. Thanks again...
