Here is the c8 rear end AND THE (maybe) FRONT END ....

Looking at the details of this pic, I am convensed it is the legit rearend:

The more I look at this front, the less certain I am that this is real and not a fuzzy pic of a rendering. There are several renderings out there that look just like this. For myself, I'm labeling this front 3/4 view as "Maybe." FWIW

Surely they will have a camera system at no cost (yeah, right, no cost) since rear visibility won't be worth shit

Time for some taillight hating. Did they have Camaro taillights left on the shelf?

The pod at the top center of the hatch has the new Caddy camera with switchable views in the 'normally placed' rear view mirror. This should provide as much as 170 degrees of the back half of the car and surroundings. No more distortion from extremely slanted rear glass.

Don't know if it will also have a selectable cool 360 degree view on the center screen that is pretty handy on the new SUV.

I hear you. They keep doing this. At least they are creased and shaped to lead up the spoiler. kind of cool. BEST OF ALL NO 'F'ING GANSTA TEARS!!!

Seems GM Styling is telling us that round taillights only belong on Ferraris now. I'll always miss them, but this rear is a million times better than the C7 atrocities, IMO. However there is still too much black for me. The black panel just above the exhaust level (the crease all the way across) should just be part of the rear fascia in body color, IMO. Not a deal breaker, but it would make the back less cluttered.

My first thought was, "that's a Camaro!"

For all the bitching everyone did about the C7 this is a squished Camaro.

Leftover taillights. I don't like them on a Vette. Since the Camaro is going the way of the dinosaur I guess they had some left over. They're just to close.

Also, the license plate indentation is too big. Maybe it's a one size fitzall for American and Euro plates. It won't look integral with our plates. They'll look more tacked on. Why a stretched hexagon to hold a rectangular plate. Some designer is overpaid.

I guess some folks at General Motors REALLY wants the Corvette to look like a Chevy. Mission accomplished.

Not all that long ago, there was a faction within GM that wanted the Corvette to wear a big brass bow tie like the Silverado and the Camaro had at the time.

I'm not really a fan of "the black" on my C7 either

So there's the front, well I don't hate it, little to no imagination was used to design it but, I don't hate it. I will wait to see it in person. I love the C7 so much I wish they would have used more styling cues from it. It's possible they did it's just hard to say from that picture.
