Supplier leaks - don't you just love them!?! - "image" added

Many of you will recall past supplier leaks that included photos of a complete C6 buck months before that release and the molds for the front and rear C7 fascias months prior to its release. Well now Katech had a brain cramp and set up a new section on their website for: "C8 Corvette ZR1/Zora LT5."

Don't bother looking, Katech has already removed the new section. This is not exactly proof that the C8 will be rear mid, but the names match up with the rear mid rumors we've heard.

Specifically: The rear mid C8 will initially be offered ias a "ZR1" model configuration and a higher performance "Zora" model will follow some time later. This rumor stated that the C7 would continue to be produced and sold along side of the C8 for an indefinite period of time. Can you say, "Test the market reaction" ?

Either the image above is....
... just something meaningless thrown together in photoshop (VERY likely IMO)
... or ...
... the "hood" vent is for a front mounted radiator meaning the piping needs to go under the cockpit to get to the engine (not likely as it adds too much weight and heat).
... or ...
... the "grill" is mostly decorative providing lineage cues and allowing only ventilation air to get through and the "hood" vent is only decorative.

BTW, the original C7 grills are larger than those in the image and yet the C7 hood grills have been enlarged/redesigned due to overheating taking place on tracked Z06s. Therefore, it is not likely that if this smaller image hood grill is functional,
JMHO.
