Ok I think we have all established I wasn't really planning on beating his C6 stock for stock or modded. So can we get off that topic. Oh yea I was meaning to ask you Dave since you owned a cobra what kind of muffler do they have to give it that mustang throaty sound. No corvette sounds like it. Also for a smaller engine than the corvettes they are pretty damn fast and powerful. Got any info you would be willing to share with me on them?

The mustang team spends a lot of time on making the sound right.

I had the stock mufflers with a bassani x pipe. Something about the mustangs that just sound awesome.. That's the main thing I miss. The LS1 or LS2 will never sound that good. Sorry, fellow vette owners. At least we are faster and handle better stock.

ah, a 2001 Cobra screaming all the way to 6800 RPM.. shiver

The cobra engine is DOHC also. 320 HP stock. loves more air. Cam, intake, exhaust and gears and they fly... then there are the supercharged ones from 03 and 04. very nice.

Even with the corvette, I'll always be a cobra driver at heart too. lol

I traded my '03 cobra for my Vette. I loved that car but I love the Vette even more. Throw on a set of LG long tubes and you'll have the baddest sounding thing on the road. Add a cam to the mix and watch the competition quake

If I buy the mufflers from the ford place and put it on my car(True dual no cats right now) and add longtube headers(Hooker), how close will it sound like a cobra or will it sound different but the same take as the low throaty sound. I mean im not taking sides on this but I love the mustang sound even the six cylinders with aftermarket duals sounds pretty good. My cars loud but not nice loud. So thanks for the info.

Like mentioned above how come this my thread is the only one thats going thru a odd turn here? I attract the stupidity in all I guess.
