Was extremely lucky yesterday as we had tornadoes all over the place. Watched a F4 form rite in front of the shop less than a half mile away, its the one that did most of the destruction and one 3 miles from my house 40 miles away. Lots of damage and no power for most of north bama.

Sheesh. Glad you avoided it all.

I was just talking with a friend about the F4/F5 that hit us in MD 9 yrs ago. Will never forget walking through an upside down house and a foundation that was stripped perfectly clean. Seeing tornado destruction firsthand was unreal and I got to work on several houses.

I am gettin service good now. The f4 that passed about a mile from the shop was 3/4 mile wide and went for 30 miles that I kno of, some say it started about 20 miles before it got to the shop. I watched it pass, at one point I didn't know which way it was headed. It finished its destruction 10 miles south of my house. I drive NE to get home, the way the storms moved thru. The one that was 3 miles from my home had already passed me by and was not that bad, just taking trees and roofs of homes. I have found pieces laying around the house from the storm that passed by the shop, lots of paper with addresses from different places thru out its path.

This is the first building that had damage from the shop. For the next 3/4 mile there is nothing but total destruction. Only concrete slabs left. I could not take any more pics because I am still.....don't have words for what I just saw that covered over 30 miles.

The second building is gone. At the center of the tornado the grass is gone.
