In the past few years the C4 has really grown on me, especially the earlier C4s, the one I like the most is the 35th Ann edition with white wheels, black targa hoop and dark windows, or a red 86. They later C4s are a heck of a performance deal tho....

When I had my C4 nobody ever talked it down or I'd do this to them
Just couldn't travel a lot with the C4 roadster so got a C5
Tell them to piss off
I love the lines of the C4

I also get the "Oh" comments about my 89. Maybe it's the stlye. Maybe its the faded paint. Who knows? It's not perfect by any means.
It is however 19 years old, has 153,000 miles on it, will turn 11.80's in the 1/4off the juice and 10.70's on it!
All this for just $20,000 keeps me smiling!
Yay C4!!!!!!!
Cheers,
John

Wow I didn't know you could write bad words on here. I admit I didn't read the rules I just clicked agree when I signed on here but wow, CF would ban all of you.

But when I saw the C4 for the first time I was in elementary school and I was pissed that they wouldn't sell them in 83. Greatest looking car ever made in my opinion and I like how they kept it the same and just refined it over the years, so we can refine ours to our tastes. Such as new bumpers or slapping in a LT4 in an 84 and it works great.

The low prices of these C4s is just a bonus. It pisses people off when I tell them I paid $4300 for my 85 vette. And their driving a crappy import with a payment. 2 weeks pay and you own a vette, we are really scamming the sellers of these great cars.

I own 2 C4s and will probably buy another, after I build another Garage.

C4s rule and they will increase in value in 10 years and we will still be driving them as daily drivers, these things are so reliable.

Actually, I wouldn't agree at all. I see in the C4 the lines started in the C2, exaggerated by the C3, and then refined by the C4. Like the C2's and steel bumper C3's there aren't any awkward angles when you look over the car - everything flows from one element to the other.

I rate the C4 exterior design right behind the C2 design (and that's probably because I had a '65 first).

From a driver's standpoint, my biggest gripe with my C4 (a 95) is the hybrid instrument panel. I'm in a minority when I say that I much prefer the earlier dash ('84 - '89). I never did understand why GM designed the hybrid analog gages to be non-linear, and why they didn't follow conventional design and make the analog gages read 'normal' as the mid point. When I'm cruising, every gage is pointed in a different direction. On my old C2, all the secondary gages were straight up when everything was warmed up, and a simple glance showed that all was right with the world.

I also think the C4 seats are better than any generation. The C1 - C3 offer no support, and the C5 and C6 seats are a bit narrow in the back for me. The C4 seat is the most comfortable seat I've ever experienced in a car or truck in over 30 years of driving.

I also remember when the C4 was still in production, and the C3 was the black sheep. At some point in the future, the C4 will be regarded as a classic, and the C5 will have the black sheep status. I think that's just the way the world works - as good C4's become more rare (and they will), then they will be seen as new, just as the C3 was.

My C4 isn't perfect, and I believe that it suffers a perception issue. But that's OK - I love it, I own it, and it satisfies my need for a sports car. Also, as Grumpy mentioned, it's also a bargain!

I love my 85. I remember when I was younger and the C4 came out, I remember reading about all of it's performance and said to myself "Self one day your gonna have to get one". I got one this yr and I am loving it every day.

I love all Vette models myself but I'm not ashamed to admit that I love the C4 the least (but I still love it ) , and I have heard many people comment how they dont like the look of the C4........ but who cares !?!?!
I don't agree at all. I've had a 99 FRC (looks like a Z06) and a 68. I currently own a '93 and about ready to sign on a used '06 . I love them all!
I've received more compliments on my '93 than the first two mentioned and they where in mint condition.

Lot's of people like the C4 . I guess your opinion is like an asshole and that everyone has one .....

I've had two 85's and an 86 before I got my 97. I love the c4's and hope to own another one in the future. As far as I'm concerned they are the best bang for your buck!
