I never trust my gauge. I use only Chevron with Techron for the past several years and add Seafoam about every 2 tanks, but it still acts up at times. Therefore, I just reset the TRIP mileage at every fillup - that gives me a pretty good idea when I am running low - in my case when it gets over 200 miles of city driving, good time to fill up.

I talked to him today, he said it was the "jet' or "siphon" pump. The tech 2 read it wasn't working, but it cost almost 400.00 for the part, and they charged him 4hrs of labor to replace it. Hopefully this isn't you problem.

Yes you gotta try it, im telling you my gauge was not working for sh*t and 6 tanks of chevron (like junkman said) there has got to be something different about the gas, and the BG44k whatever is in it rocks. You have to be diligent and stick to the diet though.

I don't know what's in it but it works!

I'll tell you what sold me on it besides first hand experience and that was when I saw C4C5 Specialist recommend it. If he's a believer, I'm sold hands down.

NOT POURING , BUYNG BOTTLES OF SHIT. HE DIDN'T HAVE TO GET ANY LIFT STUFF DONE OR ANYTHING. The answer was that the protectant spray to cover the board was thin in someplaces.

Although this works, some had to pull the gas tanks and all that stuff. I answered this questions days ago but I mostly get ignored.

Im still in the beginning trusting stages of the fuel gauge it SEEMS to have cleared up but im gun shy still, im keeping an eye on it. So you said to go to a tech at chevy and ask about code to put into the computer?? If that will help im up for it. Just keeping a close eye on trip meter for now. This is the first day its ever acted right tomorrow is another day

I accept my dealership's explanation that when the gas gauge was originally designed and installed in 1997 that the gas was a better quality (less sulfur content, etc.). That still does not tell me why this is about the only car built with this problem? Seems like somebody could develop a new part similar to what all other cars use that would work? If you are spending about $140/year on additives like me, it would not take long to pay for a replacement part that would work.

Like I explained to you in a earlier post, your issue is related to the C6 model, not the C5. The issue being discussed in this thread is a notorious C5 problem that GM has released a TSB about. In the TSB it strictly states not to get this issue confused with anything to do with reprogramming the PCM, which is what you had done. Read the TSB and go back and make sure you read every post in this thread. You're confusing the issue with the misinformation you're posting.

On any Corvette forum online today, this issue has been discussed to death. The additive is what those of us try, who want a quick fix which spreads the cost out over time because dropping the tanks is not a cheap job. Since it all but fixed my problem and a lot of other guys also, I always recommend it just to make sure that people are addressing the correct issue and not a different problem.

Did you see that link that the OP posted earlier in the thread? Looks like someone has taken the opportunity to cash in on the issue. I've been meaning to call them and discuss their invention and see what these guys are all about. If they thoroughly understand the issue, then maybe their fix is worth while.
