The biggest reason that there are all those recaps laying in the road is because the driver never checks his tires air pressure. when retreads get too low or go flat, the cap does have a tendancy to come off. If you drive with a flat tire long enough, it will come apart no matter what kind of tire it is.

Oh and bonnie, you are the biggest conspiricy nut i know of. around every corner is a criminal mastermind trying to destroy the world.

Hate to say it, but for AJ to win he would need a sympathetic judge- because according to his policy the car WAS stock, and that was how it was insured. Stop trying to come off as this big crusader who is going to take down all the "criminal" corporations all by yourself. Nobody believes it.

Aj, got nothing but love for ya

Because they want to deter you from filing a claim

But I would inform them on how you would love to hear the judge's point of view on all this

That sucks AJ. I have no doubt that it will be better than it was before when you are done.

As for State Farm, I have no love for those folks. I left them 13 years ago or so and went with Erie Ins.

So will there be a new set of videos on YouTube teaching us all how to paint?

Real sorry to hear what happened and thank god you walked away unhurt, thats the most important thing. I too have State Farm and have two vehicles, My house and my Business insured with them. The thing about insurance Co's is that they go by the book and will not pay for anything that is not supposed to be, like your Tiger Shark front. I hate to say it but you should have called your agent when you installed it as they will only pay for stock replacment parts unless your policy has been ammended to cover such parts. Your right to feel they didn't do enough to keep a long time customer happy, I would feel the same but not sure if any other "big" insurer would have done different. I would let them pay for the repair, even if that means bringing it back to stock that way at least you would get the front quarter and hood repaired and painted and you can later replace the front bumper and take your time to do it. At least you'll get some work done on their dime and save yourself some labor. After the work is done then dump them and go somewhere else. Anyway, you know whats best to do for you and I'm sure once your done the car will look like new again. Please post your progress as I always enjoy and learn a lot from your posts. Good luck with the repairs and Drive Safe!

That sucks man. My family has been with statefarm forever and when i had my accident even thou it was technically my fault in the malibu they didnt argue a thing, gave a loaner car and were very supportive through the whole thing... maybe the guy in you area is just a dick head?

One thing my grandpa and dad taught me was never to go cheap on tires because its your ass and everyone elses on the line, unfortunately the peoples who's lives and livelihood depend on tires seem to take the cheap route and put us all at risk.

Hope the repair goes well man
